Dual Pentiums power industrial-strength single-board computer

The LBC5020 single-board computer from Diversified Technology features dual Pentium processors in a full-size PC/AT expansion-card form factor and targets ruggedized, passive-backplane applications, such as telephony. The board includes both the standard ISA-bus support and a PCI local-bus interface based on the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG) industry standard. You can specify the board with one or two processors operating at speeds as high as 150 MHz.

The IDE interface also supports all of the high-speed, enhanced-IDE data-transfer modes. Main-memory configurations range to 128 Mbytes of onboard DRAM.

The LBC5020 is compatible with Intel’s multiproessor design specification. The board can operate using a variety of operating systems, including Solaris; OS-2 with symmetrical-multiprocessing support; and Windows 3.x, 95, and NT. Prices for a board with a 75-MHz Pentium start at $1295.
