What’s up, TI?

-September 11, 2013

Hmmm … What’s up, TI?

There’s a note at the top of EDN’s homepage that says:

We’re sensing something game changing is coming… Stay tuned to hear a big announcement from Texas Instruments on September 16th!

And, ahem, as EDN’s executive editor with focus on the engineering community, I have not been clued in. For those out there reading this, it’s not the norm for a company, particularly one as involved with engineers as Texas Instruments is, to not give editors a heads up on big news.

This makes one wonder if the announcement is so big that TI couldn’t trust even the best, highly qualified (and most modest) editors with the news for fear of a leak.

Well, you’ve certainly piqued my interest, TI.  And I can’t wait until Monday to get the info.

See, the thing about editors is that we’re nosey and impatient. It’s a rough combination. Sort of like a constant itch you have to scratch.

Hey, engineers out there reading this, what do you think TI is teasing? Share your thoughts in the comments field below.

Engineers, help us scratch the itch. Chime in with your thoughts on what TI is announcing on Monday, September 16. Don’t make us wait the weekend.

Editor's note added on September 16, 2013: Ahhh, so this is what you've been up to, TI. Nice!
